Usercentrics is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams within our Product & Engineering organization. This role is hands-on leadership, owning delivery, technical health, and people development, while partnering with engineering leadership on cross-cutting priorities.

We are building an AI-native engineering organization and expect you to drive AI-assisted development and set the judgment for responsible use from day one.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in engineering management, including managing multi-team setups.
• Track record of taking on ambiguous, systemic problems, scaling a struggling system, reducing technical debt, or restructuring a team's ways of working.
• Strong cross-functional partnership, especially with Product, influencing roadmap and priority decisions as a stakeholder.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engineering managers, not only individual contributors.
• Sufficient technical depth to engage in architecture and design discussions without writing production code.

Responsabilidades

• Own your group's outcomes, delivery predictability, and shipped results.
• Own the technical health of the systems, manage debt and scaling risk.
• Grow and improve the managers and engineers in your group.
• Turn vague problems into concrete, sequenced plans and execute.
• Diagnose root causes and act on headcount, skills, process, or scope as needed.
• Communicate trade-offs honestly and align estimates with reality.
• Lead the management layer and collaborate with Product and other engineering teams on priorities.
