Job summary

Nordea Asset Management Portugal is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join the AI and Data Innovation team. You will build and evolve our internal data platform, focusing on tooling, pipeline automation, and platform enablement.

Hands-on from day one, you will support data capabilities across the organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will work with Snowflake, DBT, DLT, Airflow, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, contributing to scalable data workflows and AI-enabled use

Qualifications

Foundational understanding of data engineering concepts and curiosity about modern data platforms.
Comfort with Python and willingness to learn new libraries and tools as needed.
Basic awareness of CI/CD practices and good software delivery practices.
Interest in AI/LLM tooling; hands-on experience not required.
Fluent English; other European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Enable teams by designing, building and maintaining data platform tooling and infrastructure using Snowflake, DBT, DLT and Airflow.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, automated data workflows.
Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices with Terraform and containerisation using Docker.
Support adoption and enablement of the data platform across business and technical teams, with documentation and reusable components.
Act as a technical bridge between the data platform and AI Lab to support AI/LLM use cases.
Collaborate with engineers and data practitioners to identify improvements and new platform capabilities.
