Nordea Asset Management Portugal seeks a Senior Data Engineer to accelerate the shift to a Snowflake-based data platform, building data pipelines, semantic models and internal tools.

You will join the Finance & Governance value stream in Quinta da Fonte (Oeiras), contributing to AI-driven analytics and end-to-end delivery, while adopting scalable practices across teams.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake data platform.
• Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformations.
• Proficient in Python for data engineering.
• Experience with containerised apps on Kubernetes.
• Experience designing DAGs with Apache Airflow.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop NAM Data Platform by integrating new data sources and transformations.
• Build a semantic model for reporting and analytics.
• Create internal tools to support migration to the NAM Data Platform.
• Support migration of data warehouse to NAM Data Platform.
• Continuously improve the platform with new technologies and patterns.

Would you like to get in on the ground floor of building a new data platform? We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to accelerate our shift towards a Snowflake-based data platform.

Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. About This Opportunity

Welcome to our Finance & Governance value stream, where we create value by automating and implementing finance and governance processes, enabling data-driven business analytics, and delivering trusted metrics for financial reporting. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building and migrating critical data pipelines and tools that future-proof our Finance business domain. You will also help advance our ambition to become AI-driven, accelerating delivery and improving quality. You will be an integral part of our Post-Trade & Finance Engineering team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing the NAM Data Platform by integrating new data sources and implementing transformations to meet evolving business requirements.
• Building a semantic model that enables effective business reporting and analysis.
• Developing internal tools to support NAM’s migration to the NAM Data Platform.
• Contributing to the migration of our data warehouse to the NAM Data Platform.
• Continuously improving the platform by adopting relevant technologies, tools, and engineering patterns as they emerge.

You’ll join a motivated, international, agile, cross-functional and end-to-end team.

The role is based in Quinta da Fonte (Oeiras).

Your experience and background:

• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake
• Hands‑on experience with DBT
• Hands‑on experience with Python DLT
• Experience building and deploying containerised applications on Kubernetes
• Experience designing and building DAGs using Apache Airflow
• Extensive experience using Python for data engineering
• Extensive experience with SQL
• Experience in data modelling and architecture of analytical models

In addition it is preferable if you have experience in any of the following:

• Knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS and/or SSAS
• Knowledge of Power BI and tabular data models
• Interest in AI models and their practical applications
• Experience working with a data mesh strategy
• Experience working in end-to-end delivery teams
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform
