Job summary

EY Europe West Tech Hub in Portugal is building advanced Data and AI capabilities to serve Europe West markets. You will design and implement data and analytics architectures, collect and transform data from diverse sources, and scale data for ML and AI use cases.

Work with Cloud Solution Architects on Azure-based enterprise solutions, contribute to data lake/warehouse design, governance, and analytics workloads. Strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive, self-driven attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
• 6+ years of relevant professional consulting experience in technology or similar roles.
• Good understanding of ETL, ELT, data ingestion/cleansing, engineering and data modeling skills.
• Experience with Azure data services and related tooling (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, Data Lake).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data and analytics architectures to enable better business outcomes.
• Collect, aggregate, and analyze structured/unstructured data from multiple sources; present patterns and insights.
• Collaborate with Cloud Solution Architects to deliver end-to-end Enterprise Azure-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain data lake and data warehouse schemas and architectures; manage relational/non-relational databases.
• Align data design with IT and business priorities and success measures for implementation.

The Tech Hub acts as a provider of subject matter expertise, solid strategy, solution architecture design and delivery capabilities to local teams in all Europe West markets, from the early stages of demand generation and pursuit leadership, all the way through to delivery and support.

You will help our clients with designing and building data and analytics architectures to enable better business outcomes. During implementation, you will collect, aggregate, and analyse structured/unstructured data from multiple internal and external sources, present patterns and insights, and scaling data for use in ML and AI use cases. Collaborating with Cloud Solution Architects in implementing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure platform. Supporting the strategy, planning, team management and implementation of data design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, performing needs assessments and leading projects. Developing and maintaining data lake and data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures and relational/non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics. Excitement to work with customers to understand their overall data estate, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions.

Currently has or is in the process of obtaining their BA/BS or MS degree in in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or similar. Minimum of 6+ years of relevant professional consulting experience in technology or similar roles. Good understanding of ETL, ELT, data ingestion/cleansing, engineering and data modeling skills Good technical experience and knowledge, in two or more of the following Data Ingestion and Storage. Preferably in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, SQL Server Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure Fabric Some Engineering experience and or project course work using large data systems on T-SQL, and/or Python Big Data Analytics. Preferably in Azure Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Snowflake Data Governance, Data Catalog, Master Data Management AI/ML or GenAI architectures and projects delivery Communication is essential, must be able to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights. Independent and able to manage and prioritize workload. Ability to adapt quickly and positively to change. An effective communicator and you’ll be a confident team player equipped with strong people management skills; Creative, proactive, a team player, and able to work under pressure. It’s important to have a strategically focused mindset and the ability to deliver multiple projects and present information in a clear and concise manner. Business mindset and some commercial acumen.
