Job summary

Affinity is looking for a Data BI Analyst to analyze business requirements, design semantic models and deliver analytical solutions for projects in multiple countries. The role involves translating business needs into data models and ETL rules, and delivering actionable insights using BI tools.

You will work with SQL, dimensional modeling and reporting platforms (Power BI/Tableau), collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar preferred.
• 4+ years as Data Analyst/BI Analyst or similar roles.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and data transformation skills.
• Experience with dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake).
• Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for reporting and visualization.
• Ability to translate business needs into data models and specs.
• Good communication and teamwork across stakeholders.
• English proficiency (min. B2); Portugal residency required.

• Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar (preferred).
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Management, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar field.
• More than 4 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst or in similar roles.
• Solid knowledge of SQL for data analysis, exploration and transformation.
• Experience in dimensional modeling for Business Intelligence, namely Star Schema and/or Snowflake Schema.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret data from transactional systems and analytical platforms.
• Experience building datasets, semantic models and analytical layers.
• Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data models and technical specifications.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams, functional areas and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.
• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and results orientation.
• Good communication skills and ability to present insights.
• Knowledge of English (minimum B2). Residence in Portugal — applications from outside Portugal will not be considered for this opportunity.
