Job summary

Airbus Portugal SA is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the GBS team. The role involves reviewing invoices, POs, and vendor inquiries, while supporting travel programs and ensuring accurate payments. A strong eye for detail and high-volume data entry are essential.

English proficiency is required; other European languages are a plus. The position offers a hybrid work model in Portugal with opportunities for growth within Airbus' global GBS network.

Qualifications

• Finance/Accounting degree or experience in administrative accounting tasks.
• Ability to handle high-volume data entry.
• Ability to process a minimum of 80 invoices daily with 98% accuracy.
• Professional and service-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and verify accuracy against orders and receipts.
• Review purchase orders and assist with PO assessment and supplier inquiries.
• Support corporate travel programs and respond to vendor questions.
• Investigate and resolve invoice exceptions and escalating issues as needed.
• Prepare invoices for payment and liaise with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
