Job summary

Essity is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Global Business Services in Lisbon. You will process supplier invoices, manage exceptions, and ensure timely postings with accuracy.

You will collaborate across regions, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement while applying Office 365 and SAP workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field.
• Proven experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
• Confident user of Office 365 tools with experience working in SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Collaborative and proactive professional who communicates clearly and embraces continuous improvement.
• Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
• Fluent in English – resumes submitted in English.

About the role:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be a key contributor within Essity’s Global Business Services organization, supporting a defined scope of the end-to-end accounts payable process. Your work will help ensure that financial transactions are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

You will operate in a dynamic, international environment where collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement are highly valued. • Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and standardization.


• Cross-Regional Collaboration: Provide operational and project support across regions in a matrix organization.”


• Automation Analysis: Identify automation and system improvement opportunities within Accounts Payable processes in Invoice Track to increase efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.

Who you are:
