Job summary

Verisure is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Intern to join the Group Accounting Team in Lisbon, supporting the Procure-to-Pay process and collaborating with colleagues across Europe.

This internship offers exposure to a fast-growing, international environment with strong potential to transition into a permanent role. Hybrid work model with base in Lisbon, Portugal.

Qualifications

• Final year students or recent graduates in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management, or related fields.
• Strong interest in finance and accounting processes
• Fluent written and spoken English (Portuguese is a plus)
• Analytical, methodical and detail-oriented
• Comfortable with different IT systems; well-organized, proactive and eager to suggest process improvements
• Positive attitude and strong team spirit
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/AP process, including invoice reception and processing
• Acting as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Reviewing and ensuring correct cost center and account classification on purchase orders
• Supporting daily operational activities within the team
• Performing ad hoc Accounts Payable and Procurement tasks as required
• Collaborating with local finance specialists (accounting, tax, annual reporting) to ensure compliance with local legislation

Candidate Profile
