Job summary

Dauch is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its Porto team. You will ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger and financial statements, perform month-end activities, post journals, and reconcile GL accounts. You will also prepare reports and support AR analyses, working closely with the GL team.

• Proven experience as an accountant.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Ability to work unsupervised and meet tight deadlines.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process the cash remittances (cash allocation) daily.
• Prepare reports detailing balances due or what to collect from customers at a certain point in time.
• Support the AR aging analysis with operational information examining balance statements of accountholders.
• Prepare credit / collection reports.
• Work closely with the GL team to support colleagues.
• Execute month-end tasks: AR reconciliations, ageing, booking of AR entries/documents.
