Job summary

V.Group Limited is seeking a Fleet Safety & Performance Coach to build and maintain safety culture onboard its vessels. This role involves extensive worldwide travel and ensuring adherence to HSE standards. Candidates should ideally have a Class 1 Master Mariner certification or equivalent experience, with a focus on ISM auditing and training. The position offers a competitive salary and opportunities for growth within a leading maritime company.

Qualifications

  • Class 1 Master Mariner or suitable experience at a senior level on-board as Chief Officer or Chief Engineer level.
  • Where appropriate dangerous cargo endorsement is needed.
  • Experience in ISM Auditing and Vetting Inspections, ISM, SSO & CSO certified.
  • A good understanding of statutory requirements, regulations, and marine codes of practice.
  • Good IT Skills & proficient in report writing and presenting materials.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken business English.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a high performing safety culture onboard vessels.
  • Promote a safety culture and conduct training needs analysis onboard.
  • Undertake ship safety inspections and audits, noting deficiencies.
  • Provide on-board security training and assist in HSE campaigns.
  • Submit reports on onboard training and inspections.

Skills
