Job summary

JP Morgan Chase in Poland seeks a Vice President, Financial Controller to lead and manage a team of financial controllers. You will oversee the General Ledger month-end close across multiple EMEA entities within Global HR, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness of books and records for compensation and benefits.

This people-management role requires 5+ years of leadership, deep expertise in GL entries, balance sheet reconciliation, variance analysis and internal controls, plus familiarity

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in General Ledger month-end close and financial reporting.
• 5+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
• Strong accounting proficiency and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles including US GAAP.
• Strong Excel skills, with experience using no/low-code automated analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage HR accounting and reporting within certain EMEA locations, overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Ensure team adheres to defined financial control activities and SOX compliance.
• Guide day-to-day collaboration with internal HR, Legal entity controllers, Tax, payroll vendors, and auditors.
• Support global and regional initiatives for HR/Payroll Accounting and entity changes such as M&A and transfers.
• Team leadership, performance reviews, recruitment and onboarding as needed.
