Job summary

Sword Services Greece is seeking a Unified Communication Engineer to join a multinational team delivering UC solutions for EU institutions and global leaders. The role focuses on administering Exchange Server/Online and Teams, troubleshooting at scale, and contributing to design and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT with hands-on UC experience, strong PowerShell skills, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or another relevant field.
• 5+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in Unified Communications or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, including Exchange Hybrid and Exchange Online.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams PowerShell and Exchange PowerShell.
• Experience with Exchange topology, performance tuning, capacity planning, and patch management.
• Experience with automation of user provisioning and license assignments in Microsoft 365 and on-premises environments.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Microsoft Teams communication and collaboration services.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across unified communication platforms.
• Provide 2nd-level technical support and manage incidents across production, testing, and development environments.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new communication solutions.

About the role...

We are currently seeking an Unified Communication Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our business in implementing and developing solutions for large EU and international institutions and private sector companies in Greece and abroad.

What you will do...

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and Skype for Business environments.

Technical Skills required...

• 5+ years of relevant IT experience, including 3+ years in a Unified Communications Engineer or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, including Exchange Hybrid and Exchange Online.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams PowerShell and Exchange PowerShell.
• Experience with Exchange topology, performance tuning, capacity planning, and patch management.
• Experience with ConneX/Dencrypt communication platforms is a plus.
• Experience with automation of user provisioning, license assignment, and configuration audits across Microsoft 365 and on-premises environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across large-scale, distributed communication systems.
• Excellent technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
