Job summary

Sword Services Greece is seeking a Microsoft Database Administrator to join its multinational team, supporting EU institutions and private sector clients across Greece and abroad. The role focuses on SQL Server administration, performance tuning, ETL, and DR activities.

You will work in a distributed environment, implement changes per change control, and maintain documentation. Fluent English required; 5+ years IT experience and 3+ years as DBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Experience with SQL Server performance tuning, execution plans, SQL Profiler, and DMVs.
• Strong knowledge of database design, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization.
• Experience with ETL, data transformation, and data loading.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft BI and Microsoft Fabric tools and services.
• Experience with virtual infrastructure and cloud-based database environments.
• Strong knowledge of database recovery models and disaster recovery methodologies.
• Experience with Always On Availability Groups.
• Azure Database Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate is a plus.
• Excellent command of English, written and verbal.

About the role...

We are currently seeking an Microsoft Database Administrator to join our team.
