Job summary

Antal is recruiting Transition Managers with German to drive end-to-end transitions in Finance, HR or IT within a global consulting context. The role is fully remote with international travel to Germany as needed.

The successful candidate will lead transition planning, knowledge transfer and stabilisation, manage RAID logs, and collaborate with process owners to design target operating models. Fluency in German and English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own RAID log for the workstream; resolve issues and escalate risks.
• Support design of standardised Finance process operating models.
• Identify process gaps and standardisation opportunities during transition.
• Define target-state controls and SOPs with process owners.
• Act as primary contact for German stakeholders; lead workshops and status reports.
• Build relationships with retained finance teams and works councils as needed.
• Operate within governance framework; track milestones, dependencies, risks; ensure auditable and compliant transitions.

Job description

For our client - an international consulting company, we are looking for multiple Transition Managers with German within the Finance, HR or IT functions to work fully remote

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end transition of in-scope Finance or HR or IT processes (from legacy sites/entities into the target GBS/Shared Services model.
• Manage transition planning, knowledge transfer, parallel run, and stabilisation across each in-scope process.
• Own the RAID log for the Finance or HR or IT workstream, resolving issues and escalating risks as needed. Process & Operating Model Design
• Support the design of standardised, controlled Finance process operating models.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and standardisation opportunities during transition.
• Work with process owners to define target-state controls and SOPs. Stakeholder & Client Engagement
• Act as the primary point of contact for Finance / HR/ IT stakeholders in Germany throughout the transition lifecycle.
• Lead workshops, steering updates, and status reporting with business stakeholders.
• Build strong working relationships with retained finance teams and, where required, works councils / employee representative bodies. Project & Governance
• Operate within the programme's governance framework, reporting into the Transition Programme Lead.
• Track milestones, dependencies, and risks across the transition plan.
• Ensure transitions are delivered in a controlled, auditable, and compliant manner

Requirements:

• Proven track record delivering Finance transitions, transformation, or GBS/Shared Services migrations in a consulting or advisory capacity.
• Strong subject-matter expertise across core Finance or HR or IT processes.
• Fuent German and English (written and spoken) is essential for this role.
• Willing and able to travel to, and work on-site in, Germany for extended periods throughout Phase 2 of the programme.
• Experience managing multi-country, multi-stakeholder transitions.
• Strong project management, RAID, and governance discipline.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management skills; experience engaging German works councils/employee representative bodies is desirable.
