Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end software delivery within an Agile/Scrum environment. You will drive technical design discussions, coordinate with architects, product managers and external vendors while mitigating risks and ensuring on-time releases.

The role requires 7–10+ years in IT, deep SAFe experience, and strong expertise in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7–10+ years of IT experience with leadership in agile delivery cycles.
• Deep familiarity with SAFe, automated system testing, and Jira/Confluence dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle software delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment, from requirements to deployment.
• Participate in high-level technical design, architecture reviews, and trade-off discussions.
• Identify blockers, dependencies, and risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Manage communication across cross-functional teams, architects, product managers, and external partners.
• Develop and track resource allocation and sprint plans aligned with release schedules.

WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?

We're Hiring a Technical Delivery Manager!

• Project Delivery & Agile Governance: Lead the full lifecycle of software delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment, from requirements definition to final deployment. Facilitate daily scrums, sprint planning, grooming sessions, and retrospectives while optimizing team velocity.
• Technical Oversight & Alignment: Participate actively in high-level technical design, architecture reviews, and trade-off discussions to balance business scope with system scalability and delivery timelines.
• Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving: Proactively identify project blockers, technical dependencies, and architecture-level risks, implementing swift mitigation strategies to safeguard delivery schedules.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Manage effective communication channels across cross-functional engineering teams, solution architects, product managers, and external partner vendors.
• Release & Resource Optimization: Develop and track precise resource allocation and sprint work plans mapped against overarching product release schedule

Requirements:

• Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Architecture: Practical experience navigating public cloud platforms, with deep familiarity in GCP, AWS, or Azure ecosystems, including cloud networking, security frameworks, and cost governance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Professional Experience: 7–10+ years of overall experience within information technology roles, displaying a strong technical track record alongside direct leadership in managing agile delivery cycles.
• Methodology Expertise: Deep familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) context, automated system testing practices, and advanced Jira/Confluence dashboards and tracking mechanisms.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) infrastructure management, pod lifecycles, and automated deployments using Helm charts and Docker ecosystems.
• Microservices & API Management: Solid understanding of highly performant, server-side microservices frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Python/Flask) and robust RESTful API integrations.
• CI/CD & DevSecOps Automation: Familiarity with automated deployment capability, source control pipelines (GitLab-CI, Jenkins), and observability/alerting frameworks.
• Database Management: Understanding of relational and NoSQL database compliance, optimization, and reporting constructs (PostgreSQL, Elastic, SQL Server)
