ALTEN Polska is seeking an experienced Technical Lead with a strong C++ background to guide a team delivering high-quality software in Linux-based environments. The role blends hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, coordinating with architects, project managers, and cross-functional teams to meet business goals.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software development, 2–3 years in leadership, solid Linux expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, with 2–3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Solid understanding of Linux OS, development tools, debugging, and performance analysis.
• Experience leading software development teams and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, OO design, and SDLC.
• Hands-on experience with Git and agile processes (Jira).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead with a strong C++ background to lead a team developing high-quality software solutions in Linux-based environments. This role combines hands on technical contribution with leadership responsibilities, requiring a balance between software engineering excellence and effective team management.

As a Technical Lead, you will drive technical decisions, mentor team members, coordinate development activities, and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects. You will work closely with architects, project managers, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams to define solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, including at least 2-3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Solid understanding of Linux OS, including development tools, debugging, performance analysis, and environment configuration.
• Experience leading software development teams and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and software development lifecycle.
• Handson experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Very good English skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability and willingness to work from the office 5 days per week.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in automotive, energy, or telecommunication industries.
• Handson experience with embedded systems, networking protocols, or multithreaded applications.
• Knowledge of Python or Bash scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOpspractices, and automated testing frameworks.
• Previous experience working with distributed international teams.
• Basel experience is a plus.
