ALTEN Polska, a global leader in engineering and IT services, is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead the testing strategy for a major enterprise modernization program. You will oversee migration from legacy mainframe to Java, SQL, and Linux, in a global Agile/SAFe setup with teams in multiple countries.

You will drive test governance, execution excellence, and stakeholder alignment, mentoring a distributed team and shaping testing tools and practices across the program.

Qualifications

15+ years in software testing with leadership on large/complex programs.
Proven ability to define and execute enterprise-wide testing strategies.
Experience in Agile and/or SAFe environments.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the overall testing strategy for a complex transformation and migration program.
Establish testing standards, processes, governance, and quality gates across multiple workstreams.
Coordinate end-to-end test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting activities.
Ensure alignment between business, architecture, development, and project teams regarding testing objectives and release readiness.
Monitor testing progress, identify risks, and provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders.
Lead and mentor a distributed testing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Support the selection and implementation of testing tools and best practices.
Drive quality assurance activities throughout the full project lifecycle.

WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead the testing strategy and execution for a complex enterprise modernization program. This role will focus on ensuring quality throughout the migration of legacy mainframe-based applications to a modern Java, SQL, and Linux environment.

You will work in a global Agile/SAFe setup, collaborating closely with teams across Switzerland, Poland, and India, while acting as the driving force behind test governance, execution excellence, and stakeholder alignment.

Hybrid from Warsaw or remote work (from any location in Poland)

Requirements:

15+ years of experience in software testing, including extensive experience as a Test Manager on large and complex programs.
Proven track record of defining and executing enterprise-wide testing strategies.
Strong expertise in functional testing, unit testing, and test management methodologies.
Experience working within Agile and/or SAFe environments.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience leading distributed and cross-functional teams.
Ability to operate effectively in large-scale, international delivery environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced English - at least B2+/C1

Nice to have:

Experience with large-scale application modernization or legacy system migration projects.
Knowledge of test management tools such as Xray or similar platforms.
Exposure to global delivery models and geographically distributed teams.
