ALTEN Polska invites you to join its Site Reliability Engineering team in Kraków, delivering global DevOps support and 24x7 production service availability. You will drive SDLC‑level improvements, define SLIs/SLOs, and implement robust monitoring and automation across systems.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors, participate in migrations and upgrades, and contribute to a reliable, scalable IT environment for major clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Production Application Support or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident prevention skills.
• Experience with automation and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on engineering in Java, Python, Node.js, or SQL.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Site Reliability Engineer in a global DevOps team to ensure 24x7 availability of production services.
• Implement SRE best practices to improve availability, performance, security, and transparency.
• Resolve incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and facilitate post-incident reviews.
• Participate in software architecture design and apply SDLC principles.
• Define SLIs and SLOs and maintain observability to monitor performance.
• Plan migrations, disaster recovery exercises, and product upgrades.
• Increase automation and develop self-service capabilities.
• Provide on-call support in rotation.
• Participate in weekend maintenance to ensure reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a Site Reliability Engineer in a global DevOps team, ensuring 24x7 availability of production services.
• Implement SRE best practices to enhance service availability, performance, security, and transparency.
• Resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and facilitate post-incident reviews.
• Participate in software architecture design and apply SDLC principles (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance).
• Define SLIs and SLOs, build and maintain observability to monitor operational performance, and execute action plans to meet desired metrics.
• Plan and execute application/infrastructure migrations, disaster recovery exercises, and product upgrades.
• Enhance automation and develop self-service capabilities to improve user experience and reduce manual effort.
• Provide on-call support in a rotation to ensure rapid response to critical incidents.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including weekends, to ensure system reliability and minimal disruption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Production Application Support or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting, resolution, and issue prevention skills in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency with automation, build, and monitoring tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on engineering skills in Java, Python, Node.js, or SQL.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with globally dispersed, cross-functional teams and vendors.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting large Atlassian Jira and Confluence Data Center instances.
• Solid knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
