Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Network Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Cybersecurity Technology Engineering team in Cracow. In this role, you will implement and maintain security measures across the network infrastructure and participate in strategic security initiatives in a hybrid model.

You will lead security initiatives, guide senior management on cybersecurity strategies, maintain security documentation, and promote industry best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in network administration and cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity controls and industry trends.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls and proxies.
• Proficiency with TCP/UDP/DNS and network protocol analysis.
• Advanced English; willing to work in hybrid Kraków office.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of strategic security initiatives to strengthen network defenses.
• Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date security documentation and review firewall rules.
• Identify gaps in security controls and support remediation plans.
• Offer advanced technical guidance on network solutions and data security projects.
• Ensure compliance with global cybersecurity standards and promote best practices.
• Lead risk assessment activities and develop risk management plans.
• Collaborate with the Business as part of the first line of defense on IT risk profiles.
• Engage with regional and global cybersecurity stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant security frameworks and best practices.
