Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Network Security Subject Matter Expert to join our Cybersecurity Technology Engineering team in Kraków. You will lead strategic security initiatives, guide senior stakeholders, and maintain security documentation while addressing gaps in controls.

You will collaborate across regional and global teams, ensure compliance with security standards, and support remediation plans. English proficiency required and hybrid work three times per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in network administration and cybersecurity.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity controls and industry trends.
• Proficiency with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and proxies.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/UDP/DNS) and analysis tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to create comprehensive reports and strategic recommendations.
• Advanced certifications CISSP, CISA, or CISM or equivalent.
• Advanced level of English.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid Kraków office three times per month.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of strategic security initiatives to strengthen network defenses.
• Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date security documentation and review security design documentation and firewall rules.
• Identify gaps in security controls and support remediation planning.
• Offer advanced technical support on complex network solutions, cryptography and data security projects.
• Ensure compliance with global cybersecurity standards and promote best practices.
• Lead risk assessment activities and develop risk management plans.
• Collaborate with the Business as part of the first line of defense to monitor IT security risk profiles.
• Engage with regional and global cybersecurity stakeholders to address security concerns.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant security frameworks, standards and best practices.
