Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Network Security Subject Matter Expert to join our Cybersecurity Technology Engineering team in Kraków. You will lead strategic security initiatives, guide senior stakeholders, and maintain security documentation while addressing gaps in controls.

You will collaborate across regional and global teams, ensure compliance with security standards, and support remediation plans. English proficiency required and hybrid work three times per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in network administration and cybersecurity.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity controls and industry trends.
• Proficiency with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and proxies.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/UDP/DNS) and analysis tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to create comprehensive reports and strategic recommendations.
• Advanced certifications CISSP, CISA, or CISM or equivalent.
• Advanced level of English.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid Kraków office three times per month.

• Collaborate with the Business as part of the first line of defense to monitor IT security risk profiles.
• Engage with regional and global cybersecurity stakeholders to address security concerns.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant security frameworks, standards and best practices.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting the organization's brand, shareholder value, and financial assets by implementing and maintaining security measures across the network infrastructure. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with a diverse team and contributing to strategic security initiatives. Your tasks

• Leading the development and execution of strategic security initiatives to strengthen network defenses
• Providing expert guidance on cybersecurity strategies to senior management and stakeholders
• Maintaining up-to-date security documentation and conducting in-depth reviews of security design documentation and firewall rules
• Identifying potential gaps in security controls and supporting the development of remediation plans for identified deficiencies
• Offering advanced technical support and guidance on complex network solutions, cryptography, and data security projects
• Ensuring compliance with global cybersecurity standards and promoting best practices across the organization
• Leading risk assessment activities and developing comprehensive risk management plans
• Collaborating with the Business as part of the first line of defense to maintain visibility of IT security risk profiles and control effectiveness
• Engaging with regional and global cybersecurity stakeholders to address security concerns

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration and cybersecurity
• Extensive understanding of cybersecurity controls and industry trends
• Proficiency with cybersecurity technologies such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, and proxies
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, DNS) and network protocol analysis tools
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google is desirable
• Proven ability to create comprehensive reports, document findings, and provide strategic recommendations
• Advanced industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable
• Advanced level of English
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model at the Kraków office three times per month
