Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Network Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Cybersecurity Technology Engineering team in Kraków. You will lead strategic security initiatives, advise senior management, and maintain security documentation across the network infrastructure in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires 5+ years in network administration and cybersecurity, expertise with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and cloud platforms, and advanced English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration and cybersecurity.
• Advanced industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Advanced level of English

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and execution of strategic security initiatives to strengthen network defenses
• Providing expert guidance on cybersecurity strategies to senior management and stakeholders
• Maintaining up-to-date security documentation and conducting in-depth reviews of security design documentation and firewall rules
• Identifying potential gaps in security controls and supporting the development of remediation plans for identified deficiencies
• Offering advanced technical support and guidance on complex network solutions, cryptography, and data security projects
• Ensuring compliance with global cybersecurity standards and promoting best practices across the organization
• Leading risk assessment activities and developing comprehensive risk management plans
• Collaborating with the Business as part of the first line of defense to maintain visibility of IT security risk profiles and control effectiveness
• Engaging with regional and global cybersecurity stakeholders to address security concerns
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant security frameworks, standards, and best practices
