Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior IT Controlling Business Partner to own cost control for IT services and projects. You will partner with IT department heads, ensuring transparency and alignment between financials and delivery, while driving governance, budgeting, and forecasting.

The role requires strong financial expertise, hands-on delivery, and excellence in stakeholder management, with experience in IT environments and multinational teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of financial analysis, controlling, or financial reporting in a multinational setting.
• Experience in an IT organization is desirable.
• Proven track record in people management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior leaders.
• Solid IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX understanding.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior Business Partner to IT Department Heads, embedded in Core Business IT.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize IT service and project finances with full cost transparency.
• Translate financial data into actionable business insights for investment decisions.
• Drive financial governance through Budget ID regime, PR/PO controls, and monthly reviews.
• Analyze variances vs. budget/forecast; communicate issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review financial results with stakeholders, challenge assumptions and models.
