Job summary

English Learners Success Forum seeks a Chief, Strategic Engagement & Impact to lead visioning, strategy, and execution that centers multilingual learners in policy and practice. The role blends policy knowledge with the ability to build broad external coalitions and represent the coalition to funders and field partners.

The position requires leading national coalition-building, articulating impact, and driving advocacy across education systems, with a focus on equity and quality HQIM.

Qualifications

• Leads strategy and external engagement to advance MLL-centered design.
• Translates complex policy goals into practical advocacy wins.
• Builds and sustains national coalitions across states, districts, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of strategy to define a national vision for MLL-centered instructional quality.
• Launch and manage cross-sector forums with state, district, and advocacy partners.
• Publish Calls to Action and measure progress toward the ecosystem vision.
• Position ELSF as a thought leader shaping conversations around HQIM, multilingual learners, and equity.
• Oversee sharing of ELSF impact with the field and funders in coordination with communications.
