Job summary

Umicore AG & Co. KG in Wroclaw, Poland, is offering an Automation & Control Systems Intern role.

You will support the Shopfloor Platform deployment at the Nysa plant, perform functional tests, verify interfaces and data flows, and help troubleshoot issues in an industrial OT environment. The role targets students or recent graduates in automation-related fields with interest in PLCs, Siemens platforms, and software testing.

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Interest in industrial automation, PLC systems and/or software testing.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs or industrial automation is an advantage, esp. Siemens platforms.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience in an industrial environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Support the project team in the implementation and integration of the Shopfloor Platform at our Nysa plant.
• Perform functional testing of applications and implemented solutions.
• Verify user interfaces, system integrations and data flows.
• Identify, document and report defects in a structured way.
• Support the validation of solutions within the OT environment, including interfaces and system sequences.
• Support activities related to industrial automation and PLC platforms.
• Cooperate closely with the project team and other stakeholders involved in the implementation.
• Support ongoing project activities and help troubleshoot identified issues.
