Job summary

Cloudbeds is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Revenue Intelligence to shape the technical direction of hospitality analytics platforms. You will supervise cross-functional teams, own architecture, and guide decisions across customer-facing apps, data pipelines, and cloud services.

You will stay hands-on while mentoring engineers, driving reliability, and improving security and observability in a globally distributed, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership across complex systems.
• Deep hands-on Python expertise guiding cross-language decisions.
• Strong architecture and distributed-systems fundamentals including API design and service boundaries.
• Experience with data-intensive systems and large-scale data processing.
• Cloud and platform engineering with AWS, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability.

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve the technical strategy for Revenue Intelligence.
• Lead design and delivery across web apps, APIs, data pipelines, and analytical storage.
• Identify and mitigate risks in scalability, reliability, security, and data quality.
• Direct modernization of legacy systems with careful migrations.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and security leaders on platform direction.
• Remain hands-on through coding, reviews, incident response.
