Job summary

Cloudbeds is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the POS product across mobile and backend services. You will work on the React Native/Expo frontend, Python/FastAPI backend, and the associated AWS/Kubernetes infrastructure to deliver a scalable and reliable hospitality POS experience.

You will join a pragmatic, ownership-driven team that values architecture, testing, and customer impact, contributing across multiple layers of the stack in a remote European setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production applications.
• Experience with React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and Python services.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, testing, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate POS experiences across React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and Python services.
• Develop offline-first capabilities using SQLite and sync patterns.
• Build Python/FastAPI backend services for authentication, staff workflows, menus, orders, payments, receipts, and hotel-system integrations.
• Design reliable APIs, data models, caching, synchronization, and recovery paths across the Cloudbeds platform.
• Own observability, automated testing, release quality, performance, security, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Payments, Accounting, Reservations, Infrastructure, Security, and other teams.
