Job summary

Deel is seeking a seasoned Staff Product Designer to shape the future of our payroll, HR and fintech products. You will lead design initiatives across multiple projects, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business partners to deliver coherent, delightful experiences.

You will mentor other designers, advocate for design systems, and drive AI-enhanced design workflows while balancing user needs with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in Product Design in fast-paced settings, with 2+ years leading design teams or staff-level responsibility.
• Strong UI, UX and visual design skills with a portfolio of end-to-end experiences.
• Experience designing AI-assisted or AI-powered product experiences is a plus.
• Data-informed design approach with validated decisions and experiments.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to guide teams toward clear, impactful outcomes.
• Excellent communication and ability to align stakeholders across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver product design across multiple initiatives, aligning with user needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners to build coherent experiences.
• Champion Deel UI/Design System strategy and drive adoption iteratively.
• Rapidly design, prototype, and test new features from business insights and user feedback.
• Mentor Product Designers and lead design practice rituals and standards.
• Identify bottlenecks with cross-functional teams and implement improvements.
• Navigate ambiguity to deliver clear, actionable insights balancing user and business needs.
• Communicate design vision effectively to align teams and stakeholders.
