CloudLinux is seeking a hands-on Staff Engineer to join the KernelCare team building reliable pipelines and automation in the security domain. This role blends production-grade software development with technical product ownership, approx 70% coding and 30% ownership.

You will own major components end-to-end, work with stakeholders to define milestones, design scalable architectures, and deliver production-ready solutions that evolve in production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning major projects end-to-end
• Strong backend Python experience
• Comfortable reading C language code
• Strong Linux background
• Strong system design and architectural thinking
• Experience turning unclear needs into technical plans and milestones
• Strong technical product ownership aligning with business goals
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Excellent communication with engineering and product teams and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own major product components and workstreams from discovery to production release and ongoing improvement
• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales and other stakeholders to clarify requirements
• Translate broad goals into technical plans, milestones and tasks
• Design scalable architecture and make high-impact technical decisions
• Build and maintain production-grade components end-to-end with reliability and security
• Ensure ongoing operation and evolution of delivered components
• Track progress and communicate results, blockers, risks and changing requirements
• Research technologies and market approaches as needed
• Contribute to quality through design reviews, guidance and best practices
