Job summary

CloudLinux’s TuxCare team seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to own the Language Security Research function, uniting four teams responsible for live vulnerability patching and secure evergreen support for end-of-life runtimes.

You will lead Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, and PHP groups, define standards for CVE analysis, backporting, and release processes, and drive automation and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software development across multiple language ecosystems (6+ years).
• 3+ years of engineering leadership in a product company.
• Proven delivery accountability for team outcomes.
• Java expertise; working knowledge of JavaScript/Go/Python/PHP is a plus.
• Hands-on security research experience: CVE triage and patch backporting.
• Ability to work in distributed teams and communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience building or improving engineering processes; CI/CD and dependency management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop four teams (Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, PHP) totalling 18 engineers.
• Define hiring plans and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage onboarding and ramp-up of new team members and libraries.
• Set standards for CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting, and security releases.
• Drive tooling and workflows across CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Coordinate documentation and ensure alignment with OS, Docker, and platform teams.
• Own SLA compliance and align delivery with client expectations.
