Job summary

CloudLinux is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Patchman team. You’ll stabilize and modernize infrastructure, tackle technical debt, and integrate it with the broader platform from a remote-first setup.

You will work with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and high-throughput data pipelines to improve reliability, performance and cost efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Backend/DevOps experience.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language.
• Experience designing backend services with performance, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
• Hands-on experience building and running high-throughput data pipelines using Kafka/ClickHouse/RabbitMQ.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and in-memory databases.
• Practical experience with Docker and Docker Compose for development and production.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience working with monitoring systems.
• Strong CI/CD practices including Git, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
• Excellent debugging skills and data-driven decision making.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Patchman's backend infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain new product features from design through testing.
• Investigate and resolve complex customer-reported issues.
• Operate and maintain a large fleet of servers including API gateways and load balancers.
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Monitor production performance and reliability and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape architecture and direction.
