Job summary

Emporix is seeking a Security Engineer in Poland to perform thorough security audits of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and API gateways. You will implement fixes directly via IaC (Terraform/Helm) and drive remediation across environments.

You will collaborate with engineers to shape security practices from the ground up, owning findings from discovery to resolution, with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security or DevSecOps.
• Hands-on with Cloud Providers and audited managed Kubernetes environments.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes security: RBAC, Pod Security Standards, network policies, OPA/Gatekeeper.
• Deep understanding of API security, preferably with Apigee or similar gateway.
• Know how to secure Cloud Managed NoSQL databases: access controls, encryption, audit logging.
• Ability to write/review Terraform or Helm charts to implement fixes.
• Strong grasp of OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS and secret lifecycle management.
• Proficient in Polish and English (min B2).
• Self-starter with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Security Audit & Assessment: audit GCP infrastructure, GKE, Apigee, Atlas deployments.
• Review IAM, secrets management, workload isolation across environments.
• Assess API security: auth flows, rate limiting, token scoping, gateway policies.
• Audit GKE hardening: RBAC, PSP, node configs, admission controllers, supply chain.
• Identify vulnerabilities and prioritize with severities.
• Remediation & Hands-On Fixes: implement fixes via IaC changes (Terraform/Helm).
• Analyze root causes and implement long-term improvements.
