Job summary

Yuno is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the Money, Risk & Payment Ancillaries unit, architecting bank-grade, resilient systems for risk decisioning, fraud prevention, money operations, and reconciliations. This remote, full-time role reports to senior leadership and emphasizes a culture of ownership and reliability.

You will design scalable, auditable architectures, guide cross-team projects, and mentor engineers while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to improve design, testing, and deployment

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with Go and/or Kotlin in backend systems.
• Experience designing robust, scalable distributed systems (high throughput, low latency).
• Strong background in financial or risk-critical systems with auditability.
• Proficient in AWS and cloud-native services (RDS, ECS, EKS, S3).
• Excellent automated testing practices in Agile/DevSecOps CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture across risk, fraud, scams, money operations, reconciliations, and chargebacks.
• Lead real-time risk, fraud, and scam systems with low latency decisions.
• Build money movement and reconciliation systems with auditable ledgers.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product/ML/Compliance.
