Job summary

payabl. is hiring a QA Engineer - FinDB to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of our financial data and payment systems. This hands-on role covers QA automation, API and backend testing, and functional testing in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Remote from Poland or Portugal (contractor arrangement) or Cyprus onsite with relocation support. You will collaborate with engineers and product teams to build robust test coverage and drive quality improvements across FinDB systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, Python, PyTest.
• Experience with API and backend testing.
• Strong functional and integration testing experience.
• Ability to design and structure clear, maintainable test cases.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Create and execute test cases based on new feature implementations.
• Perform API and backend testing, ensuring correct system behaviour and data integrity.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing across FinDB systems.
• Conduct manual testing when needed to ensure full coverage.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and coverage based on product requirements.
• Analyse logs and system flows to identify issues and understand root causes.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear evidence and reproducible steps.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to improve quality and delivery.
