Job summary

Traffit is seeking an experienced Software Architect with strong Python skills to design and build scalable backend systems for connected devices and services. Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of commercial backend development experience.
• Proven experience as a Software Architect.
• Experience designing distributed, cloud-based or scalable backend systems.
• Strong Python skills with FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data stores (MySQL, Redis).
• Solid MQTT knowledge and broker configuration.
• Experience with Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Excellent communication and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and improve the backend for a system that connects different devices.
• Build fast and reliable Python services, APIs and microservices.
• Improve connectivity and data exchange; maintain communication tools.
• Build integrations with customer systems.
• Work with MQTT and broker configurations.
• Write clean, testable code; participate in code reviews and automated tests.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product teams.
• Take ownership of complex technical topics and align with business needs.
