Job summary

HedgeServ in Kraków seeks a Senior Middle Office Associate to manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle for clients, including trade capture, settlements, pricing, and reporting.

You will work across global teams, resolve breaks, contribute to reporting, and support technology development while leveraging HedgeServ applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Strong command of English (minimum B2; C1+ preferred).
• 2.5+ years in middle office, trade support, or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of trade bookings, end-of-day pricing, and client deliverables.
• Manage lifecycle events on client portfolios (Corporate Actions, CFD resets).
• Investigate and resolve cash and position breaks via reconciliations.
• Serve as a key contact for the Global Follow the Sun model.
• Identify, analyze, and escalate complex issues for resolution and prevention.
• Troubleshoot trade booking and pricing queries across products.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for settlement accuracy.

The Role

As a Senior Middle Office Associate, you will be a vital part of a high-performing team, managing the end-to-end trade lifecycle for our clients. You will work across key functions such as trade capture, settlements, and pricing, and your responsibilities will extend to trade break resolution, comprehensive client reporting and contributing to our technology development. You will gain invaluable experience in how various financial products trade and operate, setting a strong foundation for your career in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accuracy of all trade bookings, end of day pricing, and client deliverables.
• Management of lifecycle events on our Clients' Portfolio positions - Examples include: Corporate Actions, Option Expiries, and CFD resets.
• Investigate and resolve cash and position breaks through daily reconciliations.
• Serve as a key point of contact for the Global "Follow the Sun" model, ensuring seamless handovers and continuity of service across Middle Office.
• Proactively identify, analyse, and strategically elevate complex issues to management and/or development teams, contributing to root cause analysis and future prevention.
• Troubleshooting trade booking and pricing queries received from both internal teams and external parties, on a wide range of products.
• Communicate effectively with clients, external vendors, and internal stakeholders, in both written and verbal forms, to ensure correct settlement of trades and resolution of breaks.
• Quickly build a deep understanding of the propriety HedgeServ applications and platforms, which support functions such as Trade Capture, Security Master Setups, the creation and delivery of sensitive client reporting, price portfolios, and display real-time PnL and risk to trading teams and Portfolio Managers.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong command of English (minimum B2; C1+ preferred).

Experience:

• 2.5+ years of demonstrable experience in a middle office, trade support, or similar operational role.
• Advanced knowledge of financial products, (i.e. Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income and various derivatives) would be an asset
• Experience using multiple applications to perform daily tasks, while maintaining appropriate risk and control measures, with high accuracy.
