Job summary

HedgeServ Corporation in Kraków is seeking a Senior Middle Office Associate to support end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade capture, settlements, pricing, and client reporting. You will work across the global Follow the Sun model, resolve trades and breaks, and contribute to risk controls and process improvements while advancing your career in a collaborative, growth‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong command of English (minimum B2; C1+ preferred).
• 2.5+ years of demonstrable experience in a middle office, trade support, or similar operational role.
• Advanced knowledge of financial products (Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income and derivatives).
• Experience using multiple applications to perform daily tasks with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of all trade bookings, end-of-day pricing, and client deliverables.
• Manage lifecycle events on client portfolio positions (e.g., Corporate Actions, Option Expiries).
• Investigate and address cash and position breaks through daily reconciliations.
• Serve as a point of contact for the Global “Follow the Sun” model, ensuring seamless handovers and continuity of service across Middle Office.
• Identify, analyse, and elevate complex issues to management and development teams for root-cause analysis and prevention.
• Investigate trade booking and pricing queries from internal and external parties across products.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure correct settlement and resolution of breaks.
• Build understanding of HedgeServ applications supporting Trade Capture, Security Master Setups, reporting, PnL, and risk displays.

The Role

As a Senior Middle Office Associate, you will be a vital part of a high‑performing team, supporting the end‑to‑end trade lifecycle for our clients. You will work across key functions such as trade capture, settlements, and pricing, and your responsibilities will extend to trade break resolution, comprehensive client reporting and contributing to our technology development. You will gain invaluable experience in how various financial products trade and operate, setting a strong foundation for your career in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of all trade bookings, end of day pricing, and client deliverables.
• Management of lifecycle events on our Clients’ Portfolio positions – Examples include: Corporate Actions, Option Expiries, and CFD resets.
• Investigate and address cash and position breaks through daily reconciliations.
• Serve as a key point of contactfor the Global “Follow the Sun” model, ensuring seamless handovers and continuity of service across Middle Office.
• Proactively identify, analyse, and strategically elevatecomplex issues to management and/or development teams, contributing to root cause analysis and future prevention.
• Investigating trade booking and pricing queries received from both internal teams and external parties, on a wide range of products.
• Communicate effectively with clients, external vendors, and internal stakeholders, in both written and verbal forms, to ensure correct settlement of trades and resolution of breaks.
• Build a strong working understanding of the propriety HedgeServ applications and platforms, which support functions such as Trade Capture, Security Master Setups, the creation and delivery of sensitive client reporting, price portfolios, and display real‑time PnL and risk to trading teams and Portfolio Managers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong command of English (minimum B2; C1+ preferred).

Experience

• 2.5+ years of demonstrable experience in a middle office, trade support, or similar operational role.
• Advanced knowledge of financial products, (i.e. Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income and various derivatives) would be an asset.
• Experience using multiple applications to perform daily tasks, while maintaining appropriate risk and control measures, with high accuracy.
