Job summary

Mars Snacking is seeking a Site HSE Manager for the Mars Factory in Janaszówek, Poland. This on-site role reports to the Site Manager and leads the Health, Safety, and Environment strategy for the facility.

You will partner with Operations, Project Engineering, and Occupational Health & Wellness teams and be supported by the Mars Regional HSE network and external experts to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSE in a manufacturing environment.
• University degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field with recognized HSE certifications.
• Strong knowledge of local HSE legislation, permits, and compliance standards.
• Experience in risk assessment methodologies, RCA, and CAPA implementation.

Responsibilities

• Create and communicate the site’s HSE strategy, vision, and objectives.
• Develop and deploy local HSE standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety/environmental legislation, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations of HSE incidents and drive root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Prioritize HSE activities using data to mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver engaging training and coaching to promote HSE awareness and practices.
• Provide expert HSE guidance during capital project reviews and change management.
• Equip the Site Emergency Response Team and coordinate emergency readiness.
• Manage and optimize the site HSE budget and resources.
• Oversee site security requirements and protocols.
• Serve as primary contact for inspectors, environmental officials, and auditors.
