Job summary

Mars Factory in Janaszówek is seeking a Site HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety and Environment strategy for the site. You will work with Operations, Project Engineering and Occupational Health teams to align HSE goals with business objectives, supported by Mars regional HSE networks and trusted external partners.

You will drive risk-based programs, oversee audits, and champion a culture of continuous safety improvement across the facility, reporting to the Site Manager as a core member of

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• University degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field with recognized HSE certifications.
• Deep understanding of local HSE legislation, environmental permits, and compliance standards.
• Experience in risk assessment methodologies, RCA of incidents, and CAPA implementation.

Responsibilities

• Create and communicate the site's HSE strategy, vision, and objectives.
• Develop and deploy local HSE standards and procedures for the site.
• Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental legislation, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations of HSE incidents and ensure corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Drive timely resolution of non-conformities from internal audits or inspections.
• Use data-driven methods to prioritize HSE activities and foster continuous improvement.
• Deliver training and coaching to promote HSE best practices across the site.
• Provide expert HSE guidance during capital projects and change management.
• Equip and empower the Site Emergency Response Team for effective emergency response.
• Manage and optimize the site HSE budget.
• Oversee physical security requirements and protocols at the site.
• Act as primary contact for regulatory inspectors and external auditors.
