Job summary

ALTEN Poland is seeking an experienced Automotive Test Engineer to drive validation activities for vehicle systems, including ePowertrain components. You will work in a hybrid setup in Tczew, collaborating with global teams to design and optimize test benches and measurement systems.

The role requires a Master’s in mechanical engineering or related field and 5–7 years in automotive testing or lab engineering, with knowledge of IATF/ISO17025 and tools such as Vector, IMC FAMOS, and Jira.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in automotive testing, validation, or laboratory engineering.
• Advanced understanding of automotive systems.
• Validation methodologies and test planning for mechanical and mechatronic systems.
• Instrumentation, automation, and measurement systems.
• Understanding of mechanical failure modes, especially transmission and powertrain.
• Test bench design and development.
• Data analysis and root-cause investigation.
• Fundamental knowledge of IATF and ISO17025 requirements.
• Vector, IMC FAMOS, Jira tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute validation testing for vehicle systems and components including ePowertrain transmissions and clutches.
• Prepare, track, and manage testing activities and test bench development projects per requirements and standards.
• Independently define test requirements and collaborate with global teams to develop, modify, and optimize test benches, fixtures, and automated systems.
• Design, implement, and improve test methods, hardware, software, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
• Develop, build, and maintain laboratory test equipment and serve as a technical resource.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including Work Instructions and Test Reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers across regions.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

WHAT WILL YOUR CHALLENGES BE?

• Execute validation testing for vehicle systems and components including ePowertrain transmission systems, transmissions, and clutch components.
• Prepare, track, and manage testing activities and test bench development projects in accordance with customer requirements, global standards, and IATF guidelines.
• Independently define test requirements and collaborate with global engineering teams to develop, modify, and optimize test benches, fixtures, and automated test systems.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve test methods, hardware, software, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
• Develop, build, and maintain laboratory test equipment while serving as a technical resource for engineers and technicians.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend technical solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including Work Instructions, Test Reports, and validation records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers across global regions.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?
