Job summary

ALTEN Kraków, a European leader in engineering & IT consulting, seeks a QA/Test Engineer for IT systems testing. You will perform manual and automated testing, document results, and log defects while collaborating with Production Support, Solution Delivery and Business Analysts. Fluent English and 3+ years in testing are required; banking/ Payments domain experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience testing IT systems in an international environment.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Experience in banking or financial institutions is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in SQL and API testing.
• Experience with test management tools (JIRA/Confluence).
• Experience with test automation tools and creating automation scripts.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing activities.
• Ensure test status results are documented and defects logged.
• Review and analyze relevant documentation.
• Collaborate with Production Support, Test Management, Solution Delivery and Business Analysts.
• Escalate issues or risks as required.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing testing activities (manually and automatically)
• Ensure test status results are properly documented and tracked and defects are logged.
• Participation in the review and analysis of appropriate documentation
• Closely cooperating with Production Support, Test Management, Solution Delivery, Business Analyst in order to understand requirements and discuss execution.
• Ensure that any issues or risks are addressed in an appropriate manner, escalating them as required.
• Creating, running and analysis of automated scripts.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE:

• English fluent oral and written.
• Professional experience in international environment - experience in testing of IT Systems -3 years
• Strong analytical skills, attention to details
• Experience in Bank or any other Financial Institution (Payments systems ideally)
• Practical SQL, SOAP UI
• Knowledge of test management tools like Jira, Confluence
• Experience in using test automation tools and creating automation scripts
