Job summary

ALTEN Polska is recruiting for an embedded software testing specialist to contribute to infotainment systems. The role is based in Kraków, on-site, offering long-term collaboration and opportunities to relocate within ALTEN Polska branches.

You will work with Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer/vTESTstudio), Polarion, JIRA, GitHub, Windows, and Python, focusing on test design, execution, and quality assurance across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems testing.
• Proficient in C programming and basic programming principles.
• Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute embedded software testing for infotainment systems.
• Analyze requirements and prepare test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, and validation testing.
• Verify system functionality and report test results.
• Own selected product functional areas from testing/QA perspective.
• Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Engage in QA activities across the software lifecycle.
• Support improvements to testing processes and product quality.
• Test and analyze inter-component communication using automotive protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute embedded software testing for infotainment systems.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements and prepare test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, and validation testing.
• Verify system functionality and report test results.
• Take ownership of selected product functional areas from a testing and quality assurance perspective.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze, diagnose, and resolve reported issues.
• Participate in quality assurance activities throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and product quality.
• Test and analyze communication between system components using automotive communication protocols..

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems testing.
• Knowledge of the C programming language and basic programming principles.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Ability to analyze requirements and create effective test cases.
• Experience in executing tests and reporting test results.
• Basic knowledge of electronics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with development teams in defect analysis and resolution.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including: CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet
• Hands-on experience with Vector tools, such as: CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio, Experience
• working with: Polarion,JIRA, GitHub, Windows, Python
