Job summary

Norconsult Poland seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to design structures for a diverse portfolio, collaborating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams

You will contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, working in an international Norwegian-Polish environment.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in structural design in consulting or contracting.
• Experience with steel and reinforced concrete; timber/composite understanding.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and design standards.
• Experience with structural calculations and assessments.
• Experience producing technical documentation and drawings.
• Proficient in BIM and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Very good English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations.
• Prepare technical reports, specs, calculations, and drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineers.
• Support planning, risk assessments, and value engineering.

Senior Structural Engineer

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing structural solutions for projects carried out on the Danish market. Working closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will help deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Design steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures for a variety of projects
• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and engineering assessments
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations, and construction documentation
• Coordinate structural solutions with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
• Support project planning, risk assessments, and value engineering activities
• Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Review and verify technical solutions throughout project development
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout all project phases
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design within a consulting engineering company or contractor environment
• Experience designing steel and reinforced concrete structures, with a good understanding of timber and composite structures
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and structural design standards
• Experience performing structural calculations and engineering assessments
• Experience preparing technical documentation, specifications, calculations, and construction drawings
• Experience working in a BIM environment and collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Danish or Nordic design standards
• Experience delivering projects in an international environment
• Knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon structural design solutions
