Job summary

Norconsult Poland, part of the Norconsult Group, seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to design and deliver safe, efficient structural solutions for Danish-market projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure ventures.

The role requires 5+ years of structural design experience, proficiency in Eurocodes, BIM, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Structural/Civil Engineering or related field.
• ≥5 years of structural design experience in consulting or contracting.
• Experience designing steel and reinforced concrete; timber/composites.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and design standards.
• Calculations and engineering assessments.
• Creating technical documentation, specifications, calculations, and drawings.
• BIM in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Very good English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures for various projects.

Senior Structural Engineer

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing structural solutions for projects carried out on the Danish market. Working closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will help deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Design steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures for a variety of projects
• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and engineering assessments
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations, and construction documentation
• Coordinate structural solutions with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
• Support project planning, risk assessments, and value engineering activities
• Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Review and verify technical solutions throughout project development
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout all project phases
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design within a consulting engineering company or contractor environment
• Experience designing steel and reinforced concrete structures, with a good understanding of timber and composite structures
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and structural design standards
• Experience performing structural calculations and engineering assessments
• Experience preparing technical documentation, specifications, calculations, and construction drawings
• Experience working in a BIM environment and collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Danish or Nordic design standards
• Experience delivering projects in an international environment
• Knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon structural design solutions
