Job summary

ALTEN Polska, a European leader in engineering and IT consulting, seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to translate business needs into scalable technology. You will work at the business-IT interface, shaping architectures and guiding cross-functional teams across Poland.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of distributed IT systems experience, with expertise in Archimate, UML, TOGAF/ITIL, Kafka, OpenShift, and REST/SOAP APIs, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in designing and developing IT systems as a Solutions Architect or related IT Architect role.
• Education in IT/technical fields.
• Extensive experience in system analysis within a distributed IT ecosystem.
• Proven experience creating project documentation: requirement specifications, technical specifications, and integration.
• Strong knowledge of application, data, technical architecture, IT management and security.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate at business-IT interface to align solutions with architectural principles and business goals.
• Analyze requirements and design technological solutions.
• Assess as-is solutions against architecture criteria and propose optimizations.
• Identify dependencies and propose optimization solutions.
• Design system architectures, integration methods, and select technologies.
• Prepare variants and provide preliminary cost estimates.
• Implement solutions per architectural standards.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, analysts and CyberSecurity/Infrastructure.
• Participate in Design Authority for directional approval.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers and IT teams.
• Lead meetings with stakeholders and suppliers.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR: SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

We seek a Senior Solutions Architect with strong expertise in designing and implementing technological solutions that align with business needs. The ideal candidate brings a multidisciplinary background in system analysis, architectural design, and technology integration.

You will play a key role in:

• Collaborating at the business-IT interface to ensure solutions align with architectural principles and business goals.
• Analyzing business requirements and designing technological solutions.
• Assessing existing technological solutions (as-is) against architectural criteria and principles, proposing optimizations.
• Identifying dependencies and proposing solutions to optimize processes.
• Designing system architectures, integration methods, and selecting technologies.
• Preparing multiple solution variants, evaluating them, and providing preliminary cost estimates.
• Implementing technological solutions and integration methods in accordance with architectural standards.
• Collaborating with developers, architects, analysts, and other departments such as CyberSecurity and Infrastructure.
• Participating in Design Authority to present technological solutions for directional and implementation approval.
• Cooperating with internal and external clients, suppliers, or other IT teams for technological agreements.
• Leading meetings with stakeholders, business representatives, and suppliers.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• 6+ years of experience in designing and developing IT systems as a Solutions Architect or related IT Architect role.
• Education in IT/technical fields.
• Extensive experience in system analysis within a distributed IT ecosystem, including decomposing requirements into component changes.
• Proven experience in creating project documentation, including requirement specifications, technical specifications, functional and system documentation, and integration for developed software or solution ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of application architecture, data architecture, technical architecture, IT management, and security.
• Proficiency in modeling tools using notations such as Archimate, UML, BPMN.
• Deep understanding of TOGAF/ITIL standards.
• Analytical thinking, ability to draw conclusions, and present data effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, high personal culture, and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of security principles in the context of banking systems.
• Ability to select architectural patterns for IT solution design.
• Practical experience in applying clean architecture principles.
• Experience in designing event-driven architecture solutions using Kafka.
• Knowledge of technologies and design patterns (ranging from .Net to Java).
• Familiarity with backoffice IT systems, payments, and Enterprise-class systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases.
• Familiarity with OpenShift, MongoDB.
• Practical knowledge of integration technologies (API, WebAPI, Web Services, etc.).
• Proficiency in REST, SOAP, API interfaces.
• Experience with tools: EA, Jira, Confluence.
• Advanced level of English.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
