Job summary

LAPP is a family-owned global leader in cable and connection tech with a strong presence in 80+ countries. We seek an experienced SAP S/4 SD specialist to support daily SAP operations, standardize processes, and drive ongoing development for sustainable future solutions.

You will lead medium-sized projects, mentor teams, and influence IT/business decisions, collaborating with external providers and driving trainings to strengthen our SD capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in SAP environments.
• Experience with SAP S/4 SD module including customizing.
• Degree in (Business) Informatics or comparable field.
• Deep experience across core functional areas and integrations.
• Experience with global IT centers and international environments.
• Understanding of OTC business processes.
• ABAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Fluent business English; strong PM and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for SAP S/4 standards within SD and adjacent areas.
• Participate in rollouts and upgrade projects (national/international).
• Lead medium-sized projects and act as Lead Consultant on complex initiatives.
• Maintain in-house developments and optimize SD module.
• Provide functional leadership, mentor colleagues across teams.
• Identify improvements and drive innovation and strategic direction.
• Coordinate with external service providers and developers.
• Act as trusted Business Partner and build relationships across IT and business.
• Support business units in trainings.
• Document template processes and local developments.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs and corporate directives.

Your tasks

Supporting the business units with issues in the daily mainly SAP operation, standardizing and an ongoing development of processes as well as a proactively participation in shaping sustainable solutions for the future.

• Provide support for SAP S/4 standards within the SD module environment and adjacent areas, including add-ons and related systems.
• Participation in rollouts and upgrade projects (national/international).
• Leads medium-sized (M-)projects, acts as Lead Consultant in complex initiatives, and takes accountability for delivery outcomes
• Maintaining in-house developments and enhancements of LAPP as well as their permanent development and optimization in the SD module.
• Provides functional leadership, mentors colleagues, and influences decisions across teams
• Proactively identifies improvement opportunities and drives innovation and influences strategic direction through recommendations and subject matter expertise
• Collaboration with external service providers and developers and their coordination.
• Acts as a trusted Business Partner and builds relationships across all relevant IT and business functions
• Supporting the business units in trainings.
• Document template processes as well as local developments.
• Compliance with Service Level Agreements according to defined guidelines of the applicable - Service Level Agreements, Corporate Directives and Process Instructions of IT-Services.

Your profile

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience; ideally experience across multiple organizations and business environments
• Strong professional experience in supporting SAP S/4 SD module including customizing,
• Successful completion of a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable professional degree,
• Deep expertise across all core functional areas, proven expertise in adjacent functional areas and extensive experience with integrations and interfaces
• Experience in working with global IT centers, global environment,
• Understanding of business processes in OTC,
• ABAP programming knowledge is an advantage,
• Fluency in business English,
• Project Management skills and analytical thinking.
