Job summary

Optiveum is seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer for a banking project focused on Risk and Regulatory Reporting. You will design and run Snowflake ETL/ELT pipelines and model data to support balance sheet stress testing, capital adequacy and regulatory reporting.

The role blends hands-on data engineering with banking domain knowledge, collaborating with finance, risk and analytics teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL and large-scale data warehousing.
• Extensive ETL/ELT development in complex enterprise environments.
• Deep banking data knowledge: Balance Sheet Management, Stress Testing, Regulatory Reporting.
• Ability to analyze, reconcile and aggregate data across sources.
• Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with statistical analysis for analytical models.
• Understanding of data governance and regulatory requirements for banking data.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake.
• Analyze banking requirements around Balance Sheet Stress Testing and risk metrics.
• Collaborate with business analysts and finance/risk stakeholders on logic implementation.
• Build and optimize data warehousing for large-scale data aggregation and reporting.
• Develop data models for stress testing simulations and management reporting.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare data for downstream analytical and regulatory layers.
• Drive performance improvements and automation of data platforms.
