Job summary

Spyro Soft is hiring for a senior Rust role focused on QtBridge for Rust. You’ll contribute Rust (and some C++) to the library, focusing on memory-safety, API design, macros, and cross-platform build engineering.

You will work on object-model, type-system and macro issues, participate in security reviews, and ensure green CI across Linux, MSVC and macOS, with remote collaboration and regular project updates.

Qualifications

• Senior Rust experience in production environments (ownership/borrowing, safety).
• Rust/C++ FFI experience, especially with cxx.
• Procedural macro development experience.
• Experience designing and stabilizing a public API (Rust, semver, deprecation).
• Cross‑platform Rust build engineering (build.rs, linking native libs).
• Strong testing/quality habits; clear safety arguments for unsafe code.

Responsibilities

• Contribute production-quality Rust (and some C++) code, tests and docs.
• Address object-model, memory-safety, type-system and macro issues.
• Help design and stabilize a public library API with proper versioning rules.
• Contribute to security review of Rust/C++ FFI surface.
• Maintain green builds on Linux, MSVC, and macOS.
• Participate in code reviews via Gerrit and daily team communications.
• Keep Jira issues updated and join weekly sync calls.
