Job summary

Ports North seeks a hands-on Product Owner to translate rough ideas into detailed, validated requirements. You will guide the product across regulatory intelligence, policy impact analysis, compliance workflows, and the AI assistant, partnering with the founder and a Technical Lead.

You will own outcomes, understand data models, and validate with customers like CCOs and risk teams, while balancing automation and explainability in governance and human-in-the-loop design.

Qualifications

• Senior product owner who owns outcomes.
• Technical/engineering background with understanding of data models.
• Proven startup success; fluent in agile and product responsibilities.
• AI-literate with ability to shape LLM-assisted features (governance, explainability, human-in-the-loop).
• Strong ownership, sound judgement, proactive and substantive.

Responsibilities

• Own the product end to end from concept to detailed specification.
• Turn conversations into well-formed user stories and requirements.
• Validate directly with customers (CCOs, General Counsels, risk teams).
• Shape how obligations and review workflows behave, balancing AI and human validation.
• Analyze logs and product data to understand usage and drive improvements.
• Push from good to great, avoiding feature bloat.
