Hitachi Energy Kraków is seeking an experienced R&D Software Developer focused on C++ application development to design high-performance, real-time software for power systems. You will work on real-time, secure systems with modern C++ and contribute to long product lifecycles.

Collaborating with global technology teams, you will optimize threading, minimize latency, and ensure scalability across Linux and Windows platforms. 8+ years in senior roles and strong English are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in senior technical roles.
• Advanced C++17/20 with RAII, pointers, STL, concurrency.
• Cross-platform development for Windows and Linux.
• Experience with real-time systems and performance profiling.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols and power-grid context.
• Strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance C++ real-time software for power systems.
• Design multithreaded architectures and optimize latency.
• Contribute to secure, scalable cross‑platform solutions and code reviews.
• Collaborate with global teams and document architectural designs.
• Profile, optimize, and reduce memory allocations in critical paths.
